Scale Construction and Permissions
Recurring Pro-environmental Behavior Scale (REBS; Brick et al., 2017; PDF)
All the scoring info is in the article and appendix. The pro-environmental behavior measure is a mean composite from the non-missing REBS items. There is no separate manual or scoring sheet or any other materials. Good luck with your research.
Modifications, item exclusions, etc.
Please feel free to change the scale in any way. Iām sorry, I do not have time to give scientific input to student projects on such modifications or their consequences. Consider the effects of changes on reliability, validity, and generalizability.
Are you from the Philippines?
Many students and researchers from the Philippines are taught to seek formal permission before using published psychological scales or measures. While this may be a common practice in your academic context, in most other countries such permission is typically not required for the use of published instruments in academic research, provided proper citation is given and the scale is not under commercial restriction or special copyright.
If the scale is published in an academic journal or book and is not explicitly labeled as proprietary, researchers generally use it freely for non-commercial research purposes (for example, student projects or academic research). My scales have no specific usage restrictions, so they may all be used freely without permission.
