This page explains how UCSB psychology undergraduates can apply to be a research assistant (RA) working with me and Professor David Sherman. We typically only accept students who will work in our lab for two or more quarters.
RAs learn research skills and assist in ongoing projects according to their level of training. Less experienced RAs often develop study materials, run participants in experiments, and work with data. More advanced RAs help brainstorm research ideas, tweak study design, and even propose and run their own projects.
